Private transfer from Palma airport: how it works and what it costs

What is waiting when you land

Your driver waits at Son Sant Joan with your arrival time and takes you to your address with no stops. Groups of up to six with suitcases go in a Mercedes V-Class; one to three people in an E-Class. Both carry water, wifi and chargers.

Drivers speak English, Spanish and German, and they know the airport's real timings. If you also book days with a driver, it can be the same person for the whole trip.

If there are more than six of you, there is no need to split into taxis: two or three cars are coordinated to leave together and arrive together.

Official taxi or private transfer: the numbers

Mallorca taxis have regulated fares (Decree 20/2025 of 23 May, published by Palma City Council). On weekdays from 7am to 9pm it is €2.50 flag fall and €1.20 per kilometre; at night, at weekends and on public holidays, €2.85 and €1.35. From the airport there is a €4.65 supplement and a minimum fare of €16.95. Five or six passengers add €3; seven or eight, €6. Luggage is free.

To be straight about it: for two people going to a hotel in Palma, a taxi is usually the cheapest option and works fine. A private transfer earns its place elsewhere. When there are five or six of you with cases and you want one car. When the house is out in the countryside, on a finca without a street number that no taxi driver has been to. When the flight lands late and you don't want to queue. And when you are not heading to the house at all but to a yacht, at the time it sails.

What you notice most is not the price but knowing, before you board the plane, who is collecting you, when, and in which car.

How the transfer price is set

For a one-off journey from the airport for up to six people we charge a fixed rate: no meter running, no change with traffic. It depends on the destination and the car. Palma is not Port d'Andratx, Pollença or Cala d'Or, which is why we don't publish one figure that wouldn't hold.

As a published reference for what a car with a driver costs by the hour: a four-hour private day with a driver and hotel pick-up starts at €550 for one to three people and €620 for four to six, per vehicle; each extra hour is €110.

From the plane to the yacht, or to the villa

Plenty of groups chartering a yacht board on the day they land. The transfer is timed to the boat's departure, and the driver drops you on the pontoon at Puerto Portals, Port Adriano, Palma or Port d'Andratx, wherever she is berthed.

If the trip includes a villa, a chef or a yacht with us, the transfer is part of the same plan: the driver already knows when the boat leaves or when the table is booked, and it all arrives on one invoice.
