Cookie Policy
This policy explains which cookies and local storage Balearic Experience uses on its website, what they are for, how long they last and how you can accept, reject or withdraw your consent, in accordance with article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE) and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser to remember information about your visit. Local storage (localStorage) is a similar mechanism: it keeps data on your device that only this website can read.
2. What we use, in short
- This website does not set any cookies of its own.
- Only if you accept in the notice does Google Analytics set two cookies (_ga and _ga_B05B1BVRK1), to count visits, see where they come from (search engines, social networks, other websites or direct visits) and how many end in a WhatsApp message, a call, an email or a form.
- Until you decide, and also if you reject, Google Analytics does not load: your browser does not connect to Google and no cookie is set. The website works just the same.
- Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage (be_analytics_consent) so that we don't ask you on every page. It is technical and needs no consent.
- Without cookies, we also count, in aggregate, visits (Vercel Web Analytics) and clicks on WhatsApp, phone or email and forms sent (on our own server). Neither stores anything on your device; details in section 6.
3. Cookies and storage, one by one
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
be_analytics_consentBalearic Experience local storage | Remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics. | 12 months; then we ask you again. | Not needed (technical) |
_gaGoogle Analytics cookie | Distinguish visitors with a random identifier, so that we count people and not just page views. | 2 years; renewed on each visit. | Only if you accept |
_ga_B05B1BVRK1Google Analytics cookie | Keep the session state: know that several pages belong to the same visit. | 2 years; renewed on each visit. | Only if you accept |
If you don't come back to the website, your browser shortens the life of the Google Analytics cookies: at most 400 days in Chrome and 7 in Safari.
4. Google Analytics in detail
- Provider: Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).
- What it collects: the pages you visit, where you come from (search engine, social network, another website, campaign or direct visit), your type of device and browser, your approximate country or city, and clicks on WhatsApp, phone or email and forms sent. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store your IP address.
- What we don't do: we don't use it for advertising. Google Signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and consent mode always keeps the advertising signals denied.
- International transfers: Google may process this data in the United States. It does so under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Google LLC is certified and which the European Commission recognises as an adequate safeguard.

5. How to accept, reject or withdraw your consent
The first time you visit, we ask you with a discreet notice, with “Reject” and “Accept” at the same level. Until you accept, Google Analytics does not load.
You can change your mind at any time from “Cookie preferences”, in the footer of every page, or with this button:
If you withdraw your consent, we stop measuring at that moment and delete the _ga and _ga_B05B1BVRK1 cookies from your browser. Withdrawing it does not affect what was measured before.
You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser:
or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which turns it off on every website.
6. What we measure without cookies
- Vercel (hosting and Vercel Web Analytics): counts visits in aggregate and without cookies; it tells visits apart with a code (hash) calculated from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours. As the hosting provider, it may use technical cookies for security and fraud prevention.
- Supabase (forms): stores what you send us through a form and, without cookies, a count of clicks on WhatsApp, phone or email and of forms sent: only the type of contact, the page and the language, with no IP address and nothing that identifies you. Servers in Frankfurt (EU).
7. Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this policy and its date and, where necessary, ask for your consent again.
